CellSigns and HarvestINFO partner to deliver mobile classifieds

Newspapers’ classified ads get delivered to cell phones with HarvestINFO and mobile solutions company CellSigns.

PHILADELPHIA, June 7, 2007 – CellSigns, Inc. and HarvestINFO announced today that the companies will partner to offer Cellifieds Multi-Medium Mobile Solution for newspapers. The new partnership brings a mobile classified offering to HarvestINFO’s clients. “We are very excited to be working with HarvestINFO, who has been a driver of innovation in the newspaper industry for many years. With our combined technology offerings, we will be providing the industry with robust tools to increase revenues and audience, ” said Mark Ford, CEO of CellSigns.

“Harvest has always provided new tools and systems to assist newspapers in driving new revenue and traffic. This tradition continues with our partnership with CellSigns. Our integrated product enables our media customers to serve their users - whenever and where ever they may be. Interconnecting the Harvest shopping products with CellSigns’ Cellified solution further entrenches the newspaper as the local, go-to site,” according to Joe Rueth, CEO of HarvestINFO.

Cellifieds bridges the offline, online and mobile channels for newspapers. With a cell phone, users can shop the local paper’s classifieds for a car, browse pictures and information on homes for sale, or even sign up for alerts and breaking news. Through SMS (text messaging) and WAP (mobile internet), CellSigns offers a complete mobile classified offering. The customer can also click on an ad on the newspaper website and send the ad or coupon to their cell phone with send-to-phone. “Timing is critical for newspapers when delivering mobile content to consumers, because if they don’t leverage the mobile channel in their market, someone else will,” said Dave Geipel, President, CellSigns, Inc. “Our solution mobilizes content and puts it in the hands of consumers – while they are on the go, when and how they want it.” With the Cellifieds mobile newspaper platform, the Palm Beach Post won the coveted NAA PRESSTIME magazine 2007 Innovative Operations Award for Mobile Ads. Serving the newspaper market together, CellSigns and HarvestINFO will help newspapers drive growth in the critical and as yet untapped mobile channel by delivering local search, classifieds, shopping, and other content directly to their users.
